God's Precious Promise 14: To Live With God

Jesus gave to mankind a precious right:
The right to live forever in God’s care,
To have brand-new life, when this one takes flight,
And an undying strong new body to wear!
This happy pow’r cannot be earned or bought;
It’s given only to those who believe
That Jesus was God’s Messiah who brought
Redemption to the race that sin deceived!
This gift is still available today,
But you must open the door to your heart,
For into none will Jesus force His way,
Respecting your free will, the choice impart!
To have new life, you must be born again,
By asking Jesus in your life to reign!

Promise Made: John 1:11-13 (NIV)—“He [Jesus] was in the world, and though the world was made through [by] him, the world did not recognize him. He came to that [His people] which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision, or a husband’s will, but born of God.” [Brackets added]

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

“That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord’, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
