Heaven will not admit one in the flesh;
All men must die, as did Jesus that day;
The Spirit, who raised Him, will raise you fresh—
New, immortal, as Christ and angels stay!
Here, if the Holy Spirit lives in you,
And your mortal body inhales its last,
Your soul—your being—flies to Jesus true—
New body, too, at the last trumpet’s blast!
But, if in Jesus you do not believe,
No Holy Spirit dwells in mortal you,
For hell your soul and new body take leave,
And eternal torment is all you’re due!
Call on Jesus’ name; He won’t cast you out;
The Spirit is yours then, without a doubt!
Promise Made: Romans 8:11 (Paul writes)—“And if the Spirit of him [God] who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who lives in you.” [Brackets added]
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
“That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord’, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
