The Antichrist And The False Prophet

The Antichrist took his orders and pow'r
From Satan; he his evil sidekick,
The False Prophet, ruled the world for one hour;
Their rise was swift; their fall was more quick!
Brought oddly to fame through Satan's beguile,
The lawless one charmed with smooth-speaking tongue;
Felled dead by head wound; came alive by guile;
Rapt, people raised him to a higher rung!
Rift-free Islam's ten kings gave him world reign;
The False Prophet built an image of him;
Gave it breath and speech, Jesus to profane;
Hope for the lives of God's people grew slim!
Fie, Lucifer! For one hour your dream's come true!
Some Christians are compelled to bow to you!

Special Note: Look for "Allegory Of Good And Evil", Rev. 12, Monday, 6/29

"And the dragon [Satan] stood on the shore of the sea. And I [John] saw a beast [the Antichrist] coming out of the sea. ... The dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority. One of the heads of the beast seemed to have had a fatal head wound, but the fatal wound had been healed. The whole world was astonished and followed the beast." (Revelation 13:1-3) [Brackets added]

"The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise his power for forty-two months. He opened his mouth to blaspheme God and to slander his name and his dwelling place and those who live in heaven. He was given power to make war against the saints and to conquer them. And he was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation. The inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast---all whose names have not been written in the book of life ... " (Revelation 13:5-8)

When Lucifer rebelled against God (See Rev. 12:7ff.), his dream was to be King over the whole universe, the role that was always that which belonged to Jesus Christ. His history-long saga of evil seduction of mankind is a continuation of his hopeless fight. During his 42-month rule in the Tribulation, he will reach the epitome of his success, but it will be ended by the Second Coming of Jesus Christ in power and glory as King of kings. During his short glory, he counterfeits Christ's resurrection by his stand-in's death and "resurrection". He rules from Jerusalem and attempts to make Islam the "true" Christianity; by force persuades many weak Christians to convert away from Christ, beheading the loyal firm followers who refuse. Islam, since its invention by Satan in the 7th century A.D., has already killed millions of Christians, and, in the last months of Satan's freedom, kill millions more (See Rev. 7). Only a few tattered fugitives will manage to survive and greet Jesus when He returns. The False Prophet is in reality Satan masquerading.
