God Speaks To America

"O, America! You were never Mine!"
Says the Lord of Hosts. "But I longed for thee!
When the Pilgrims brought My Son to enshrine,
And your fathers in faith included Me!
What turned you away to Satan's enclave
And cancelled your witness to those abroad?
Who persuaded you your hearts to enslave?
Where were your saved when he came to defraud?
Did you vote 'Aye!' with the Devil's own crew,
Unborn babies to slay, when mothers will;
Free their wombs, so they can sin anew,
When it pleases them? Free, new lusts to fill?
Where is My beacon to the blinded world?"
Blinded themselves, their banner keep furled!

When the Pilgrims landed in America, they worshiped Jesus Christ, and this new land represented a haven in which they could practice Christianity without fear of government oppression. So, too, the founding fathers of the nation in the latter 18th century woite and adopted a constitution honoring God as the Giver of unalienable rights to all men. They were nearly all Christian in beliefs and declared this nation to be founded under God, and they hoped to show the world left behind how a nation ought to be.

Ignoring the "unalienable rights" of all, the Supreme Court took away all the rights of unborn babies in its decision on Roe v. Wade; from then on it is perfectly legal for a mother-to-be to have her babe aborted, which is a shady word for murdered, before birth. This license to kill immediately became a money-making behemoth for unscrupulous doctors, nurses, workers, and investors; today, 1000 babies a day are aborted in the nation that guarantees unalienable rights.

What "beacon" is this country to the Old World? How can we lay claim to any kind of righteousness when we abort babes and, in some states, permit same-sex marriages? America can't evangelize any nation; who seriously believes foreigners would respect a nation with our way of life? For shame! Shame on America!
