How Sweet To Die

Hail, death! Dread foe of men, and king of fright!
Come whimpering to my loving embrace!
Your bony touch is no sting, but delight;
Your evil beckon's my welcome to grace!
Look not askance, that your presence I sing;
You're nothing to me but heaven's gatekeep!
Life's just prelude between me and my King;
With your appearance, I'll eternity reap!
I chose Jesus my Lord long years ago,
And lived each day as if it were the last!
The sight of you brings me joy, not woe;
Now I go where all my treasure I cast!
How sweet to live, when death is without sting!
How sweet to die, and straightway see my King!

It is hard for me to understand why everyone is not a Christian. Why? Jesus has been resurrected from death and every Christian will be as well! It is free to become Christian, but not so easy. You have heard that all you have to do is believe that Jesus, the Jew that lived 2000 years ago, was the Son of God, that He died and lived again. If you just give mental assent to the preceding statement, it won't be enough belief to make you a Christian. You must realize that you have committed sin and repent, which means to be sorry for them. Then you must pray and ask God to forgive your past sins. When you've done this, you must change your lifestyle to one taught by Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5-7.

Summing up, you must believe, repent, pray for forgiveness, and change the way you live. The ultimate and only Judge of salvation is King Jesus who can see what you are inside your heart; if you do your best to follow the steps listed above, the Bible says you will be saved. It is not easy, and few find the way, but it is free for the asking. Why should everyone believe in Jesus? Because you can live this life with no fear of death being the end of life. Eternal life can be yours.

"Death has been swallowed up in victory. Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?" (1 Corinthians 15:54-55)
