GPP 69: Blameless In The Lord

Jesus the man died, but arose Lord Christ,
Ruler of all earth and the universe;
He’s coming back in pow’r, His might suffice
To reign the nations, heaven to rehearse!
The righteous expect His return with zest,
Having gifts to live as He commanded—
The Holy Spirit, their new lives to bless;
Things asked for in His name always handed!
These will keep them strong, living in His love,
Co-heirs—the Kingdom of God inherit;
They’ll meet Him in the air, far, far above
Those who rebelled, and new life don’t merit!
God, who called all to belief in His Son,
Is faithful and will surely get it done!

Promise Made: 1 Corinthians 1:7-9 (Paul writes)—“Therefore you [the saved] do not lack any spiritual gift [the Holy Spirit, prayer] as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed [to be seen by all on earth]. He [Christ] will keep you strong to the end, so that you will be found blameless [saved[ on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ [the Second Coming]. God, who has called you into fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful.” (NIV) [Brackets added]

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

“That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord’, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
