Angels in heaven did not know the date
That Jesus the Messiah was to come,
But Daniel knew how long Israel would wait—
God sent Gabriel with a conundrum!
He said, “In three score and nine weeks of
years,
The Anointed One will have lived and died!”
Jews should have known just when Jesus
appears,
And had no excuse for casting Him aside!
When you consider the prophecies made
Of the life of Jesus before He came,
You must marvel how Israel could evade
Instant belief in His redeeming name!
Reading the Bible, Gentiles do wonder
How Israel could make such a great blunder!
Prophecy Made: Daniel 9:21-27 (Written in the 6th century B.C.)
Prophecy Fulfilled: Both Biblical and secular histories confirm the life of Jesus of Nazareth that occurred 483 (sixty-nine “weeks” of) years after king Cyrus of Babylon issued the decree mentioned in Daniel 9: 2 B.C. to 32 A.D.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
“That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord’, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
