What Of Babes?

The basic unit of a strong society is a strong family, defined by God as one man, one woman, and all offspring. With the advent of legalized abortion in 1973 in this country began Satan's unrelenting attack upon the family. It has led to couples living together without His blessing or legal authority and fewer families. Now the attack includes several states' legalizing same-sex marriages and multiplied the number of children born of unwed parents; both of these further reduce the nember of strong families. This phenomenon has furthered the awful toll taken by the divorce rate, which hovers around 50%. Furthermore, an unspoken and unwritten national objective called the "culture of death" by the late Pope John Paul, is to decrease the birth rate and to increase the number of deaths, both of elderly persons and unborn babies in order to decrease taxes and the national debt. Pope John Paul would have been justified in calling modern America a "suicide society". When the family goes, the nation follows.

I cannot venture to describe how God handles the 50 million souls a year that is sent to Him by the abortion mills of this world. The Bible says that life begins at the moment of conception. The latest Gallup poll informs us that 51% of Americans disapprove of abortion. That number would rapidly and drastically increase if television showed actual abortions taking place, as is every other medical procedure routinely depicted. The decision-makers of television absolutely decline to show abortions, as newspapers and magazines all refuse to accept paid advertisements that in words and pictures tell the true horrors of baby-killing.

I wish I could find a clear statement in the Bible that would comfort us, by stating that God receives all innocent souls into heaven; gives them adult bodies, and allows them to live happily ever after. I know of no such scripture. But the Bible tells us a massive amount about God and His love for mankind. I trust Him to have a just solution, as in restoring what was stolen from them and punishing those responsible for taking it, including voters that refuse to accept the responsibility for the decisions their electees make.
