GPP 51: Wondrous Heaven

No eye has seen, neither hath mind conceived,
The wonders of heaven God has in store
For those who in Jesus as Lord believed,
Co-heirs with Christ, that live forevermore!
No tears, lest God Himself wipe them away;
No night, for the light of Christ e’er pervades;
No grief: death no more; God’s justice holds sway;
Sorrow for missing loved ones fades away!
To have a body that never grows old,
And belong to the family of God;
Learning secrets of His word never told:
That’s the promised glory for which I’ve trod!
Pride in self causes many to lose this,
For loving earth so much, Jesus they miss!

Promise Made: Isaiah 25:8b-9—“The Sovereign Lord will wipe away tears from all the faces; he will remove the disgrace of his people from all the earth. In that day they will say, ‘Surely this is our God; we trusted in him, and he saved us. This is the Lord, we trusted in him, let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation.’ “(NIV)
