God's Precious Promise10: Grace

God wanted mankind to live without sin,
So they could dwell righteous with Him always;
But as He foreknew, not one among men
Could resist temptation for all his days!
God then proffered undeserved mercy, grace,
To all those with faith, belief, in His Son,
That from death redeemed a few of the race,
And to heaven these repenters could come!
So salvation is through faith, by God’s grace;
It cannot be earned, and no one can boast;
By repenting one’s past life, sins erase;
Living for Jesus; loving Him the most!
First, redemption; then, salvation, giv’n free;
Such wondrous gifts God offers you and me!

Promise Made: Ephesians 2:8-9—“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and that not from yourselves, for it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no man can boast.”

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

“That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord’, and believe that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
