The bells of heav’n peal in joy and delight,
And God’s trumpets blast, announcing new birth,
When one who is lost comes in from the night,
Believing Jesus Lord of heaven and earth!
A saved soul is a “brand snatched from the fire”;
One less hitch in God’s noble endeavor,
A partial fulfillment of His desire—
To dwell with those of His image ever!
God is not willing for any to die;
He’s the most joyful when one’s born again,
Who joins the Lord’s happy host in the sky,
Leaving a vacant seat on Satan’s train!
His name shall be found written in the Book
Of those that live, when the Lord’s angels look!
Promise Made: Luke 15:3-7—“Then Jesus told them this parable: ‘Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Does he not leave the ninety-nine in open country [where they will be safest] and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyously puts it on his shoulder and goes home. Then he calls to his friends and neighbors and says, Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep. I tell you in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.’ “ [Brackets added]
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
“That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord’, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
