The love of God for created mankind
Looms over any that mortals construe,
Nor mortal pen inscribe for mortal mind,
And all the evils of Satan subdue!
No sooner had Adam stood than he fell,
And his offspring that followed did the same—
Thus God’s beloved condemned to suffer hell;
Not one man or woman escape the shame!
But God so loved mankind, He became man,
Humbling Himself to live as one of them;
Tempted sore, by mortal strength, He did stand;
Scapegoat for men’s sins, they crucified Him!
God redeemed mankind, paying all sin-debt,
That believers eternal life shall get!
Promise Made: John 3:16—“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.”
For Salvation: Romans 10:9—“That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord’, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
