God's Precious Promise7: Heard By God

He who believes Jesus in faith is blessed:
Whatever he asks God for is given,
If, for him to have it, the Lord deems it best;
For by God the world’s affairs are driven!
The faithful’s pray’r wings direct to God’s ear,
Who knows all thoughts even before they’re
thought;
But pray’rs of the faithless God does not hear,
Save their grief for evil sin they’ve wrought!
Even so, most pleas lifted are unfit,
“According to God’s will” ‘s so high a bar;
His will’s so much above man’s highest wit,
That few mortal wants rise as high by far!
Yet, the saved’ wants are heard and within
reach;
No such “horn of plenty” can th’ lost beseech!

Promise Made: 1 John 5:14b-15—“If we ask [God] anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have what we ask of him.” (Brackets added]

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

“That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord’, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
